Wat Chedi Luang in Chiang Mai

Wat Chedi Luang is one of the most famous temples in Chiang Mai, with a history spanning several centuries. The top part of the temple collapsed due to an earthquake, so visitors can only admire it from below and cannot enter. I really like the tall, majestic trees in Northern Thailand; they give a sense of grandeur and harmony between humans and nature. The murals in the temple are also very appealing. Although they don't have the heavy historical feel of old paintings, they are vibrant and beautiful. Typically, these murals are painted on-site by artists, as I've seen in other temples.
