| Jingangbei is a magical place.. Located at the foot of Jinyun Mountain in Beibei District, Chongqing, by the bank of the Jialing River, it is 5 kilometers away from Beibei city area. Jingangbei is a magical place. Stepping into Jingangbei is like entering a paradise. Following the stream, with towering mountains behind and high mountains surrounding on both sides, the lush vegetation hides old mansions. During the Qing Dynasty's Kangxi era, small coal kilns were scattered around, and coal was exported through Jingangbei from the Jialing River. By the time of the Republic of China, larger residential complexes such as Yao's Courtyard, Xiong's Courtyard, and Zheng's Courtyard had formed, with over a thousand shops and warehouses along the riverbanks. During the war against Japan, due to its unique geographical environment, 13 central government agencies above the ministry level and more than 30 bureau-level agencies, along with over 3000 celebrities from the fields of science, culture, education, and economy, poured into Jingangbei. Later, the celebrities returned to their homes, and the coal bosses either declined or were confiscated, leading to the gradual decline of Jingangbei. In recent years, it has become an internet sensation due to tourism development. Cars are not allowed inside Jingangbei, and there are several parking lots on Beiquan Road. There is a sightseeing bus from the entrance of Beiquan Road to Jingangbei, but it's not far to walk either, with beautiful scenery all along the creek side.
