Encountered a retro hotel with a Republican-era vibe at Ciqikou

Chongqing's heat is truly overwhelming, making Ciqikou sparsely populated during the day. Instead, I stayed in the hotel, enjoying the lazy leisure and comfort. This time, I stayed at the Fog Mansion, located on a small slope in the ancient town of Ciqikou. The standalone building offers an excellent view due to its elevated position. It's a short walk from the Ciqikou light rail station, with an elevator directly accessible from the road below. As a specialty hotel, it is filled with a retro flavor, instantly transporting you to the Republican era. The rooms are spacious, bright, clean, and comfortable, with balconies offering a beautiful view of the hillside scenery of Ciqikou. What truly impresses are the hotel's details. Despite the constraints of being in a scenic area, the hotel has set up a laundry room and fitness area. The most considerate part is that the laundry room is fully equipped with detergent, disinfectant, and fabric softener. Outside the guest room area, there is a courtyard, and on the second floor, there is a viewing platform. If it weren't for the hot summer, I would definitely choose to sit here at night, have a beer, eat some snacks, and listen to the singers playing and singing not far down the mountain. Due to the heat, I chose to dine at the hotel. The fatty intestine chicken was soft and flavorful, perfect with rice. The brewed black tea was superb. As a coffee lover, I rarely drink tea, but I found it sweet and refreshing after drinking.
