Pretend to be in the South of France | Erhai Ceiling Hotel | Sunset Shuanglang

Sunset·Shuanglang's front yard is near the Yuji Island intersection, connected to the bustling main street of Shuanglang, featuring an open 'Extra Small Pavilion' restaurant and a bar serving drinks and coffee. The backyard is a private living space facing the Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake. Sunset is an open layout facing Erhai Lake, with a two-story courtyard where each room has a view of Erhai Lake. The front yard houses the restaurant and bar, while the backyard is exclusively for hotel guests. The designer and hotel manager, Xie Ke, used simple techniques to create an ideal home facing the sea. Using basic materials such as solid wood, paint, and bricks, along with a large number of artworks and collector's furniture, he shaped a space that is unadorned yet full of Oriental aesthetic meaning. Sunset·Shuanglang has only 14 rooms, arranged on both sides of the courtyard's central axis, each with a separate entrance, and terraces that face Erhai Lake. On the side closer to Erhai Lake, there is a persimmon tree in front of the door, and the terrace outside faces Erhai Lake and the wooden boats on the sea. -
