Scenic Area Overview: Location: Wudang Mountain is located in Danjiangkou City, Shiyan City, Hubei Province. The scenic area covers a total area of 312 square kilometers. Main Attractions: Golden Summit: The main scenic spot of Wudang Mountain, as famous as the Jade Emperor Peak of Mount Tai and the Golden Summit of Mount Emei. It is said that "Seventy-two peaks of Wudang face the Golden Summit." Purple Cloud Palace: Also known as "Taiyuan Purple Cloud Palace," it is a Ming Dynasty palace and Taoist temple complex located on the main peak of Wudang Mountain. Nanyan Palace: Known in Taoism as the "holy land" where Zhenwu attained enlightenment and ascended, it is the most scenic of the 36 cliffs of Wudang Mountain. Prince Slope: Facing west, it is built on the 60-degree steep slope of Lion Peak and is praised by contemporary architects as a classic example of utilizing steep slopes for construction. Happy Valley: Commonly known as Monkey Valley, it is home to a wide variety of animals that often appear in the jungle, creating spectacles such as "Golden Monkey Leaping over the Stream" and "Macaque Offering Peaches." It is the most representative attraction among the "Eight Dynamic Scenes" of Wudang Mountain. Grinding Needle Well: Also known as Chunyang Palace, it was originally built during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty. The existing Grinding Needle Well was rebuilt in the second year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1852) and renovated in 1984. It has more than 50 wing rooms and covers an area of 1,700 square meters. Jade Void Palace: During the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, it was the largest temple among the royal temples of Wudang Mountain. The existing buildings and ruins mainly include two palace walls 1,036 meters long, two stele pavilions, five palace foundations, and the Qing Dynasty-rebuilt Parents' Hall, Cloud Hall, as well as the ruins of the East, West, and North Heavenly Gates.
