The University of Edinburgh was founded in 1583. It is the sixth oldest existing university in the UK and one of the four classical universities in Scotland. Classical universities are universities established in the Middle Ages and Renaissance and continue to this day. If you go to Oxford, you will visit the University of Oxford, if you go to Cambridge, you will visit the University of Cambridge, and of course, if you go to Edinburgh, you will also visit the University of Edinburgh! The University of Edinburgh does not require a ticket to enter like the University of Oxford and Cambridge. You can enter the campus at will. The University of Edinburgh has 5 campuses, located in the city and suburbs of Edinburgh. This time I mainly went to the central campus. (Old College), George Square, Bristol Square and McEwan Hall (Central Area). The buildings in that area are very retro and beautiful. From the entrance Walking into the campus feels like going back to the Renaissance! Personally, I think the Old College and McEwan Hall are both great places worth visiting and taking beautiful photos. I highly recommend them!
