The ancient building complex of Jinlou, which was built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, has a history of several hundred years. The Jinlou ancient building complex consists of many buildings such as the mud building, the official Fang's house, the Jinlou, the Nanshan Ancestral Hall, the Jianlong Gate, the Yiyu Yishu, the Mudang Ancestral Hall, the brick carving Dazhaobi and the Sanxing Mansion. It concentrates the functions of mansions, ancestral halls, study rooms, and gardens, and retains the physical objects of ancient buildings with Lingnan characteristics such as dry battlements, oyster shell walls, water-milled bricks, and 'wok ear mountain walls'.
