A shortcut through Peterskirchhof

⛪Peterskirchhof is a historic cemetery located in the center of Frankfurt. It is also a nice shortcut to get into the city center if you are located in the Nordend area of Frankfurt. Next to the cemetery there is the church called Peterskirche. It's a Romanesque church dating back to the 12th century, and is one of the oldest cemeteries in the city.🌹 🌱The cemetery is has a serene atmosphere and is filled with flashy greenery and colorful flowers. This creates a beautiful contrast with the old tombstones and the Peterskirche. 🌿There is a variety of graves and monuments. From simple headstones to elaborate tombs. 💫One of the more notable graves include those of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's mother, Catharina Elisabeth Goethe, and the famous German publisher, Johann Friedrich Cotta. 🍃Peterskirchhof is a beautiful and peaceful place in the heart of Frankfurt.
