There was a local rice cake shop within a 5-minute walk from the Tenjin hotel 'LamplightBooks Hotel' where I was staying. When I arrived in Tenjin in the morning and went to the hotel, local residents bought a lot of them. The location of Komaya, where strawberry mochi is located, is a 10-minute walk from Tenjin Station, so it's easily accessible. There wasn't a waiting line, but there were steady customers coming and going from early in the morning. Payment is only possible with cash and 'PayPay', not cards.
