The journey starts from flying to Hat Yai and then taking a 50 baht train to Padang Besar Station. Then go through immigration into Malaysia. Buy a Malaysian train ticket to Butterworth Station for about 90 baht. It takes about 2 hours to reach Butterworth Station. Then take a boat to Georgetown or you can call a Grab. Traveling on the island is very convenient. There are public buses around the city or you can call a car via the app. The condition of the town on the island is very clean. The atmosphere is chill.
