It is known as the "Artificial Danxia" and is also called the Guangzhou version of the Zhangjiajie Giant Stone Cliff Forest. There is a pavilion at the top where you can rest and overlook the entire quarry. It is very magnificent. 2⃣️Lion Rock: It is named for its resemblance to a lion and its location facing the Shiziyang River. Walk forward to reach the ancient quarry. 3⃣️Swallow Rock: Swallows circle the cliffs, which may be why it is called Swallow Rock. 4⃣️Lotus Temple: A three-story temple where you can offer incense and flowers at the entrance. There are many tall and majestic statues of Guanyin Bodhisattva in the temple, where you can offer incense and pray for blessings. 5⃣️Guanyin of the South Sea: It is said to be the tallest gold-plated Guanyin bronze statue in the world, standing 40.88 meters high and facing the southeast direction of the Shiziyang River. It is said to be very effective for praying for children. 6⃣️Lotus Tower: Also known as Wenchang Tower, the ancient tower was built in the Ming Dynasty and has a long history. The tower is 50 meters high and has 9 floors. It is a typical Chinese-style brick tower with the beauty of the "Capital Huabiao". 7⃣️Lotus Wonderland: There are more than 1,200 kinds of lotus flowers and more than 800 kinds of water lilies. In summer, countless flowers bloom, and you can touch them with your hands. It was my first time seeing such big flowers, and I even touched the lotus seed pods! (🈲️Do not pick the flowers) Many photography enthusiasts come to take pictures📷 8⃣️Lotus Lake: A paradise for birds, with flocks of egrets. 9⃣️Lotus City: There is a complete ancient city wall, the Guangzhou version of the Great Wall of Beijing. (But I didn't visit it) 📃Personal review: As soon as I got off the car, an aunt chased me to buy flowers, which turned out to be for offering incense at the Lotus Temple. After entering the gate, walk for two minutes to the sightseeing car boarding point, CNY 10/person, which will stop near the Lotus Tower. It takes about 4–5 hours to visit the entire scenic area. It is best to bring water, mosquito repellent, a small fan, sunscreen, and an umbrella. There is a shop in the scenic area called Honey Bar (p4), which sells drinks and snacks at reasonable prices. There are many boxes of bees🐝 in front of the shop, so the honey should be genuine.
