Shenzhen to Western Sichuan Road Trip Day 1 | The Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas in Guilin are stunning!

🚗 On January 18, we started our family road trip for the Lunar New Year. Our first stop was the Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Area in Guilin, where we had a short but wonderful trip! 🕰 Driving time It is about 650 km from Shenzhen to Guilin. It usually takes about 7 hours, but we encountered some traffic jams and drove slowly due to the large number of cars on the road, so it took us about 9 hours and 20 minutes to reach the hotel. 🏨 Fortunately, the scenery along the way was beautiful and the weather was nice. I always enjoy the scenery when driving in Guangxi. 🎈 Food and fun We walked along the Li River at around 4 pm and admired the Elephant Trunk Hill, a landmark of Guilin. Then we strolled and ate from Dongxi Lane to Zhengyang Pedestrian Street, where we tasted local snacks such as osmanthus cake, duck feet pot, banana bamboo rice, freshly squeezed pomegranate juice, Guilin rice noodles, and osmanthus ice cream. 🍦 It was so satisfying! 😍 Finally, you must visit the Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas at night! 🌃 The twin pagodas are stunningly beautiful under the lights, and you will be enchanted by them.
