The humidity in Haikou makes wearing a jacket quite comfortable.

The volcano in the Leizhou Peninsula-Hainan Island Volcano Geopark is a dormant volcano that last erupted 8,000 years ago. It is lush and green, and attracts many visitors. Located at the top of the crater, it has an altitude of 222.8 meters, making it the highest point in Haikou. After visiting the crater park, I also visited a small village called Sanqing Village, located three or four kilometers from the crater. The entire village is built from volcanic rock, which is quite unique. This trip was like a "buy one, get one free" deal. Haikou is a city full of life and vibrancy, with a relaxed atmosphere. The food in Haikou lives up to its reputation. Whether it's a high-end restaurant or a small street food stall, the ingredients are fresh and the cooking methods are unique, making for a delightful dining experience. During the Spring Festival in Hainan, the New Year's Eve dinner features local specialties: grouper, fresh shrimp, abalone, and Wenchang chicken.
