Haikou Arcade Old Street: A taste of Southeast Asia!

My biggest surprise during this trip to Haikou was the Arcade Old Street! Strolling through the century-old arcade buildings felt like traveling back in time to Southeast Asia of the last century, with a strong exotic atmosphere! On both sides of the street are rows of arcades, with exquisite carvings and mottled walls, all telling the vicissitudes of history. Under the arcades are various unique shops, selling Hainan specialties, handicrafts, and all kinds of snacks. It's a very pleasant place to stroll and eat. I especially enjoy the slow pace of life here. Locals sit under the arcades, drinking tea and chatting, while children play on the street, creating a lively atmosphere. As dusk falls and the lights come on, the Arcade Old Street takes on a different look, becoming brightly lit and bustling with activity, offering a unique charm. This visit to Arcade Old Street not only allowed me to appreciate the unique architectural style but also experience the rich cultural atmosphere and taste authentic Hainan cuisine. It was a truly enjoyable experience! I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Haikou! Remember to bring your camera, as this place is very photogenic!
