It was my first time visiting a temple and I didn’t know there was a dress code. The weather was quite hot that day, so I wore shorts. The staff reminded me when I entered the door and provided free aprons. I could just put them in the bamboo basket when I left. If it is hot, ladies should wear short sleeves, not just suspenders! You are not allowed to take photos inside the main hall. The atmosphere is very solemn and dignified. No matter what your mood is before you go there, even if you have no faith like me, you will be able to calm down and relax when you get there. Although the Faxi Temple is not very big and you can reach the top in 15 minutes if you want to quickly tour it, I recommend that you stay there for about one to two hours, and even enjoy a vegetarian meal here. I feel much calmer when I leave😘 It is recommended to walk slowly and stroll around. The photo-taking spots are basically at the highest point in the temple, and there are the least people near noon. Even if you don't take pictures, it's still very relaxing to sit anywhere in the temple for a morning, like I did, with a pot of Longjing tea and some snacks. The fat pigeons in the temple are not afraid of people, and they are even more polite to children. 😂 I have never seen pigeons that would play with children.
