Riugakutenmangu Shrine Flower Viewing.

The Riugakutenmangu Shrine, built in 1667 by the third lord of the Sendai domain, Date Tsunamune, enshrines the deity of learning, Sugawara no Michizane, who blesses students with academic success and smooth progress in various examinations. Within the shrine grounds, in addition to planting plum and cherry blossoms, there are also song monuments, phrase monuments, and a pen mound. Every spring, the nearby Riugaku Park is crowded with flower viewers, while the Riugakutenmangu Shrine in the alleys offers a tranquil world of its own, mingled with cherry blossoms, providing a sense of serenity for both the mind and body during worship. Apart from the ema plaques full of wishes for successful exam results, the shrine's amulets and the popular 'Wisdom Bag', which symbolizes the enhancement of wisdom, are also popular souvenirs for visitors.
