Wuliang Mountain in Pu'er, Yunnan—The cherry blossoms are in bloom, just waiting for you to see them

Wuliang Mountain was formerly known as Mengle Mountain. It is the western branch of the Yunling remnant of the Hengduan Mountains and is located in Jingdong Yi Autonomous County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province. The Wuliang Mountains are composed of Mesozoic red lacustrine sandstone, shale, mudstone and other strata, with a small amount of igneous rock intrusions. It is a series of block erosion mountains. From a horizontal perspective, the Wuliangshan climate zone has a northern tropical and southern subtropical plateau monsoon climate in the south, a central subtropical plateau monsoon climate in the middle, and a central subtropical and northern subtropical plateau monsoon climate in the north. The vertical zones are well developed and the animal and plant resources are rich. The main trunk of Wuliang Mountain stands between Yangbi River, Heihui River, Lancang River, Xihe River, Weishan River and Babian River. It starts from Zijin Mountain and Wuyin Mountain in Weishan County south of Xi'er River in the north, crosses Nanjian, Jingdong, Zhenyuan and other counties in the southeast, and ends at Ganbazi Mountain near the junction of Ning'er and Jinggu counties in the southeast. It runs from northwest to southeast and is about 260 kilometers long. The main part starts from the south of Yangjie River in Nanjian in the north and ends at the junction of Jingdong and Zhenyuan in the south. Wuliang Mountain is a tectonic erosional mountain and a branch of Nanyunling. Most of the mountains are composed of red lake strata from the Jurassic, Cretaceous and Tertiary systems of the Mesozoic Era, with exposed limestone, sandstone and shale. The Wuliang Mountains are composed of Mesozoic red lacustrine sandstone, shale, mudstone and other strata, with a small amount of igneous rock intrusions. It is a series of block erosion mountains. The horizontal zonal characteristics of the vegetation in Wuliang Mountain are obvious. Due to the cutting of the Lancang River, the relative height difference is large, and a good vertical belt spectrum landscape of vegetation has been developed.
