Autumn (September–October) is the most recommended time to visit. The colorful forests reflected in the lakes create the most magnificent scenery. The temperature is pleasant (12–16°C), making it the best time to visit. During winter (November–March), off-season ticket discounts are available (entrance ticket + sightseeing bus: CNY 160/person), and you can enjoy spectacular ice and snow scenery. In spring and summer, the water is abundant, making it a great choice for escaping the heat. However, remember to bring rain gear during the rainy season and take sun protection measures. Driving is highly recommended, as the scenery along the way is incredibly beautiful. Shuzheng Valley, Rize Valley, and Zechawa Valley are distributed in a "Y" shape. The recommended route is: entrance → Rhinoceros Lake → primeval forest → Panda Lake → Nuorilang Waterfall → Long Lake → Five Flower Lake. Walking along the plank road, taking photos of waterfalls and colorful forests, and watching Tibetan and Qiang folk song and dance performances (ticket price: CNY 120–160) are all fantastic experiences. For accommodation, prioritize hotels or guesthouses in Zhangzha Town for convenient access to the park the next day. If you are prone to altitude sickness, be sure to prepare in advance. The bonfire party at night is super fun, with plenty of delicious food, including Tibetan specialties like tsampa, butter tea, barley wine, potato cakes, and yak meat.
