The gorgeous Kirishima Shrine on Kagoshima Island

⛩️I can’t take pictures of its beauty, this Kirishima Shrine. Its beauty lies in its charm and temperament. The reliefs on the roof beams are so delicate and delicate. Surrounded by lush tall trees. ⛩️Picture 6️⃣ is a cedar that is more than 800 years old. Legend has it that gods live in the tree, silently guarding this sacred place full of spiritual power. ⛩️The shrine was originally located at the foot of Takachiho Peak. It was destroyed many times due to volcanic eruptions and was moved here. Rebuilt in 1715, it is a Japanese national treasure. If you are interested, you can explore the original site, which is also the starting point of the Kirishima hiking trail and is inaccessible. On the 10th of every month, the priests of the shrine will perform Shinto rituals here. ⛩️In addition to the opening hours for worship, Kirishima Shrine is open 24 hours a day. This time, because we went close to noon, there were more people worshiping. When the sun rises in the morning, it must be as mysterious and beautiful as a fairyland. ⛩️📌Transportation: Jr. Limited Express takes 50 minutes from Kagoshima Chuo Station to Kirishima Jingu Station: 1. It takes about an hour to walk from here. 2. Take a taxi from the train station entrance and arrive there in about ten minutes. 3. Go to Kirishima Iwasaki Hotel and take the bus for about ten minutes.
