Dianchi Lake

Dianchi Lake is also known as Kunming Lake, Kunming Pool, Diannan Lake and Dianhai Lake. Located in the southwest of Kunming City, Yunnan Province, it is fed by rivers such as the Panlong River. The lake is the largest freshwater lake in Yunnan Province and is known as the Pearl of the Plateau. The seagulls in Dianchi Lake in Kunming are a unique landscape in Yunnan Province. They migrate from Siberia to spend the winter here every winter, adding a bit of vitality to Dianchi Lake. The red-billed gull is the most abundant and best-known species. In addition, there are many kinds of seagulls such as brown-headed gull, herring gull, black-tailed gull, fish gull, yellow-billed river tern, kittiwake and bearded gull.
