Lijiang Old Town

Getting There - A short two hour drive from Dali or an easy train journey from surrounding areas. Attractions - Similar to Dali Old Town but a lot more touristy. A great place to walk around and sample the different bars and restaurants. Wax work museum is a must visit… The hike up Elephant Hill is worthwhile! Hotels - We stayed at a great hotel at the top of the hill called Maryland. Excellent views and a really friendly family run business. Food & Restaurants - N’s Kitchen is a must visit for western food and friendly atmosphere. Cornerstone for quesadillas and other western treats. Lijiang also has the famous ‘strip’ of world wide fast food joints. Shopping - A bit tacky in places but huge variety of souvenirs etc. #unforgettableexperiences#summervacation
