The total distance is 91km. · ⚠️Tips‼️ 🔵Some buddies might wonder❓ why one is 99km and the other is 91km⁉️ 🔵The reason is that there are two routes to choose from Genie Town to the Eye of Genie, and both routes form 1️⃣ a loop. 🔵1️⃣ route passes through 'Xiazetong Village' (Ding Zhen's hometown); 🔵The other 1️⃣ route passes through 'Naiqianduo Village'. · 【Key Points】 🔴The route through 'Xiazetong Village' is closed for construction🚧 until April 2, 2025 (if not completed, it will be postponed), and is only open for traffic during three time periods each day: 07:30-8:30 in the morning, 12:00-13:00 at noon, and 18:00-19:00 in the afternoon. 🔴So everyone can choose which route to take based on the time they arrive at Genie Town. · 【About Road Conditions】 🟡The 77km road from Litang County to Genie Town is newly paved with asphalt, and the road conditions are very good, with many bends in some sections. 🟡The 19km road from Genie Town to Naiqianduo Village has asphalt in the first half and narrow cement roads with many bends in the second half. 🟡The 2.5km road from Naiqianduo Village to the Eye of Genie is a gravel road with a significant climb, requiring extra caution when driving. If the chassis is low, it is recommended to switch to the local villagers' 🛻or🏍️ to go up. 🟡The 5km road from the Eye of Genie to Xiazetong Village is a combination of gravel and cement, with better road conditions compared to Naiqianduo Village. The village is building houses, and there should be quite a few guesthouses 🈺 opening in the second half of the year, with hot springs♨️ nearby. 🟡The 10km road from Xiazetong Village to Genie Town is closed for construction🚧, but during the open times, my two-wheel-drive SUV can pass through smoothly by driving carefully. · 🔆Visiting the Eye of Genie takes 0.5-1h, with no shops or restrooms nearby. 🔆The high-altitude area has strong ultraviolet rays, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun.
