A Dreamy Getaway to Lugu Lake

The soft wind on my face carried the fresh smell of nature. The boatman, a kind local, shared stories about the lake's past and the unique matrilineal culture of the Mosuo people. Onshore, I wandered through ancient Mosuo villages. The wooden houses, with their beautiful carvings, were captivating. I was invited into a Mosuo home, where I tasted local treats like roasted potatoes and barley wine. The warmth of the family made me feel at home. At night, I camped by the lake. Lying under the starry sky, I was surrounded by peace, with only the sound of gentle waves. This trip wasn't just a holiday; it was a chance to unwind and connect.
