It was initially built in the sixth year of the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty (1578). The central hall of the Jianyang Guild Hall, which is behind the Yuhuang Pavilion, was first constructed in the thirty-fifth year of the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty (1770), and was rebuilt in the twenty-ninth year of the Guangxu era (1903).
