The awe-inspiring Usnisa Palace.

I took my parents to Niushou Mountain in Nanjing for sightseeing on the weekend, and the highlight was, of course, the Usnisa Palace. The Usnisa Palace is the core of Niushou Mountain, located on the west peak of Niushou Mountain. The entire building is built on a historical mine pit, with a total construction area of about 136,000 square meters. Together with the Usnisa Pagoda, it forms the spectacular scene of the west peak of Niushou Mountain. It also echoes the east peak of Niushou Mountain, showcasing the grandeur and magnificence of the "double peaks and double towers" of Niushou Mountain. The entire Usnisa Palace is themed around the worship of the Buddha's top bone relic, with the reclining Buddha as the highlight of the worship. Visitors are often left in awe after paying their respects. The exterior of the building is divided into two parts: the large dome and the small curved dome, symbolizing external and internal offerings. The large dome resembles the Buddha's robe covering the small curved dome, symbolizing the Buddha's infinite blessings. When we visited, there was a dance performance on the lotus platform. After the performance, the reclining Buddha would rise, which was very impressive. We also climbed the Usnisa Pagoda, which has a total of 9 floors. You can take pictures of the scenery outside the pagoda from the 1st to the 7th floor. The 8th floor has a bell (Usnisa Vajra Bell) and is not accessible. The 9th floor has a Bodhisattva statue and is also not accessible. The adult ticket for Niushou Mountain is CNY 145, and for seniors aged 60-69, it is CNY 80. PS: A friendly reminder, although seniors over 70 are exempt from tickets, they still need to make a reservation in advance. Otherwise, their ID card may not be recognized. The ticket is indeed quite expensive, but after the visit, we all felt it was worth it. The architectural layout, the statues of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the reliefs of flying deities and arhats, and the various Buddhist artifacts were all a feast for the eyes, leaving us in awe.
