#traveldiaries Just got back from Naxos Island, and I’m already missing it! 🏝️ This place has everything you could want in a Greek getaway—stunning beaches, rich history, and amazing food. One of my favorite spots was Plaka Beach, a long stretch of golden sand and clear, turquoise waters. Best part? No entrance fees for most beaches! You can just pick a spot, relax, and enjoy the views. If you’re into history, don’t miss the Portara, the ancient temple ruins right by the port—it’s free and the sunset views from there are unforgettable 🌅. The island is also full of charming villages like Halki, where I wandered through narrow streets and tasted local Kitron (a citrus liqueur). Don’t skip a visit to the Temple of Demeter—only a few euros to enter, and the site is surrounded by peaceful countryside.
