A trip to Oleśnica Castle 🇵🇱

#myhiddengems During my summer vacation, I had the chance to visit Oleśnica Castle in Poland, and it turned out to be a highlight of my trip! 🏰 Located in the charming town of Oleśnica, just 30 km from Wrocław, this castle has a rich history that dates back to the 13th century. The entrance fee was quite affordable, only 15 PLN (around 3.5 USD), and it included a guided tour, which I highly recommend. The castle itself is a mix of Gothic and Renaissance architecture, and its well-preserved towers and courtyards are a real treat for anyone interested in history or architecture. The guide shared fascinating stories about the castle's past, including its time as a royal residence and later as a military academy. Walking through the grand halls and the beautiful chapel, I could imagine what life was like here centuries ago. After exploring the castle, I took a leisurely walk through the town of Oleśnica, which is full of charming streets and cozy cafes.
