Shinsaibashi's Okiya shop - Shellfish specialty restaurant "Epokku"

This is a hidden little shop that serves grilled seafood and shellfish that was introduced to me by a friend. Reservations need to be made online and guaranteed by a credit card (many people may have given up on this before). We had the store's signature nine-course meal, which included shellfish sashimi, charcoal-grilled abalone and a variety of fresh shellfish. The appetizers, scallop burgers, ramen, wine, and desserts were all very pleasant surprises. My husband, who works for a Japanese company, also drank with the other staff. It was a really enjoyable day. For two people, the annual drinking amount (2 glasses of sake and 2 beers) comes to around 24,000 yen, which is a great value. #pseudo-lonely-gourmet #Osaka-gourmet
