The best beach in Phuket

Kata Beach is a beach on Phuket island in Thailand. I love staying nearby Kata Beach every time I visit Phuket because it has modern hotels, authentic food and local village vibes as well as the beautiful sandy beach. I’m not big on parties so Kata Beach is my ultimate Phuket destination. Here is what you should know about Kata Beach. 🚗 Getting there - There are 2 options to get to Kata Beach from Phuket Airport Option A: take a minivan directly to your hotel which will take about 2 hours and cost 200THB. Option B: take a taxi 🚕 directly to your hotel, the fixed fare to get to your Kata Beach hotel is 1000THB and it will take 1 hour. 🏨 Hotels - There are a few hotels right on the beach: Club Med, Beyond Resort, The Boathouse Phuket. And many more away from the beach. I personally recommend The Palmery Resort, it’s just 15 minutes walk from the beach and near a 7-Eleven mini mart. The hotel prices vary depending on the season. 🐠 🏄‍♀️ Attractions - The attractions in Kata Beach vary depending on the season: Low season (May to September): 1. Surfing. Surf board rental costs 200THB per hour and 1200THB per surf lesson. 2. Boogie boarding. The board rental is at 100THB per 2 hours and you can try to learn on your own. High Season (November to April): 1. Snorkeling. When the sea is flat it’s great for snorkeling and relaxing in the water. 2. Standup paddling. Standup paddling is fun and you can even paddle to a small island in front of Kata Beach. Both seasons: 1. Relaxing on the beach seats. Beach seats rental costs 100-200THB. 2. Banana boat riding (500THB per person), parasailing (1500per person), wakeboarding (1500THB per person). 🍲 Food - my favorite Thai food is Chicken Pad Thai, Crab Fried Rice and Tom Yum Soup.
