Hidden High-Quality Yakiniku Restaurant in Tai Kok Tsui! Don't Miss Out!

Ippou Yakiniku Located in the shopping mall under the Lai Oi Estate in Tai Kok Tsui, this newly opened yakiniku restaurant might be a bit inconspicuous, but it's definitely one worth paying attention to. The environment and decor are both spacious and comfortable, and the staff are very polite. Eating yakiniku doesn't necessarily mean just beef. Today, I had the pleasure of trying their new menu - a seafood and white meat platter set meal. First up was a salmon tartare toast. The salmon is mixed with onions, wasabi, and rich Ran-Ou egg, then spread on top of crispy toasted bread - very tasty. Then came the grilling part, which included Kuruma prawn/Butter Shiso Hiroshima oyster/Kurobuta pork plum meat/Pork belly/Japanese chicken steak/Japanese chicken kidney. Initially, the staff will do the grilling for us, explaining the ingredients as they cook. They also explain how each ingredient should be cooked and for how long. Personally, I loved the Kurobuta pork plum meat the most, with its rich marbling and very fragrant taste; the Butter Shiso Hiroshima oyster was also a highlight. The Hiroshima oyster was plump and tender, with the buttery aroma and shiso leaf enhancing the overall experience. For the grilled meats, you can dip them in lemon juice/yakiniku sauce/mixed sea salt. Add $50 to the platter, and it turns into a set meal that includes an appetizer (Japanese eggplant), miso soup, salad, vegetables, rice ball or soup udon, and dessert.
