Compared to Xishuangbanna, I still love the quiet little city of Pu'er more.

I drove from Guangxi to Yunnan with my parents, and our fourth stop was Pu'er. ☀️The temperature and humidity of Pu'er are one of the two cities where I felt most comfortable during my self-driving trip in Yunnan (I'll keep the other one a secret and write about it later). It is neither cold in the morning nor at night. There is a little bit of sunshine at noon, but the wind is always moist and cool. There is no need for heating in winter and no air conditioning in summer. ☕️There are no must-visit attractions here, only thousands of acres of tea plantations and coffee estates, which are suitable for experiencing the slow life with a suitable temperature and no tour groups. With a cup of tea in your left hand and a cup of coffee in your right hand, the best way to experience this city is to spend a day relaxing in the sun. . 🏞️The clean and tidy Meizihu Park makes people want to play a song facing the lake; 🌆Yunhai Forest Community, known as the lalaland of Pu'er people, has the most beautiful sunset; 🌳Friends who love forests can go hiking in the mountains and forests to absorb the energy of nature. . 🚗If you want to drive yourself, there is more to explore. The natural landscape and cultural resources here are also beyond doubt. - Go to Sun River Forest Park to see the red pandas that can run around your legs; - Go to see Jingmai Mountain, which has just been rated as an intangible cultural heritage (Note: there is a long section of gravel road and winding mountain road, if you mind, don't plan this part of the trip); - Go to see the well-preserved Wengji Old Village and Nuogan Ancient Village and the people's life, and go to Manghong to watch the sunrise and sunset. Finally, I want to say that the best thing about Pu'er is actually the people: every shop owner is smiling and chatting, they don't seem like businessmen, and the atmosphere is as ordinary and warm as when a familiar neighbor's child comes to your home for dinner. ❗️Of course, it’s not perfect here: - The white lines on the road and the sidewalks are not clear; the roads in the city are narrow, there are too many electric cars, and there are few parking spaces; - Many restaurants have no doors or windows, and the food is not refrigerated, so there will be flies flying around (our family of three started to have gastroenteritis in Mengzi, Jianshui and Pu'er, and they have all recovered, but food safety may be a more common problem in Yunnan);
