After arriving at the airport, take a shared or chartered car outside the airport to the town of Tachin. - Long-distance bus: Take a long-distance bus to Purang County, Ngari Prefecture at Lhasa North Suburb Bus Station. After arriving at Purang County, transfer to a bus to Tachin Town. - Self-driving: Starting from Lhasa, drive west along G318 National Highway and then turn to the highway leading to Ngari Prefecture. Accommodation - Tachin Town: There are many homestays and hotels to choose from, with relatively complete facilities, which can provide a good rest environment. - Zhire Temple: Located on the way to the circumambulation, it is about 5,100 meters above sea level. The conditions are relatively simple, but it is convenient for continuing the circumambulation the next day. Tour route - Three-day tour: Arrive at Tachin town on the first day, adapt to the plateau environment and stroll around the town; start the circumambulation of the mountain on the second day and stay overnight near Zhire Temple; continue the circumambulation of the mountain on the third day, climb to the Zhuoma La Pass, and return to Tachin town after completing the circumambulation of the mountain. - Five-day tour: On the first and second days, depart from Lhasa to Ngari Prefecture; on the third day, arrive at Tachin Town, adapt to the environment and visit surrounding attractions; on the fourth and fifth days, circumambulate the mountain and finally return to Tachin Town. Things to note when circumambulating the mountain - Route planning: The circumambulation route from the Kailash Base Camp is 56km, which usually takes 2-3 days. There are more than 10 supply points and 2 accommodation points along the way. - Safety awareness: follow local regulations and instructions, stay on the designated route, pay attention to changes in mountain climate, avoid trekking in bad weather, and arrive at the supply point before dark. - Respect local culture: Kailash is a religious holy place.
