It was a winter trip with family to Pyeongchang, Korea . We began our trip to Pyeongchang with a visit to Woljeongsa Temple. Walking along the famous Fir Tree Forest Trail, covered in a soft blanket of snow ⛄️ felt like stepping into a winter fairy tale. We arrived in the afternoon, around 3:00 PM, to catch the golden light filtering through the 🌲 . It was perfect for taking peaceful, Instagram-worthy photos 📸 of the snowy path and the ancient temple. The serenity of the temple during winter is unmatched, and we highly recommend it for anyone visiting Pyeongchang. 📍374-8, Odaesan-ro, Jinbu-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do, South Korea We started our day at Alpensia Ski Resort, which is ideal for winter sports like skiing 🎿 and snowboarding 🏂 Even if you don’t ski, the resort offers fantastic views of snow-covered slopes, making it a great spot for photography 📸 We recommend visiting early in the morning, around 8:00 AM to capture the fresh snow and enjoy the quieter slopes. 📍325, Solbong-ro, Daegwallyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do, South Korea In the afternoon, we headed to the Daegwallyeong Sheep 🐑 Farm, which is stunning in winter. The rolling white hills dotted with sheep create a unique and picturesque winter scene. The best time to visit is early morning 900 AM to avoid crowds. Snow fall in Korea!

A #korea #winter moment to remember, this is during early December. It was early winter , the temperature was nice (around 7-10). I’m so lucky to experience snowfall during the stay and to see this colorful leaves as in fall season. 10 days seoul-busan-seoul trip was a wonderful experience for us. Challenging in handling 4 kids by our own has become a sweet memory journey for us. places visited in Busan: 1.) BFF ( Busan Film Festival) 2.) Jagalchi Market 3.) Lotte world 7.) Shopping in Myeongdong We skipped some other famous places because we already visited in the past few years. Sheep and ice festival

Winter of ‘23 Located in Pyeongchang, Gangwondo I was in Gangneung to enjoy the beach in the winter. Found a small town nearby hosting an ice festival. It was on the stream/river of the town. They have sledding, a mini maze, and sculptures to look at. When I went the had a game for catching the “wild boar” and if you pull a flag you’ll get a prize. They have a food court area next to it. I also went to the sheep farm too. It was a 15 minute cab ride from the bus station. They also have a shuttle bus to and from the sheep farm, Daegwallyeong Yangette Farm. The ice festival is about a 10 minute walk from Hoenggye bus terminal. The shuttle bus also departs from here it is red. Must-visit Daegwallyeong attractions on snowy days ❄️

A snowy landscape that can only be seen if the timing is right! I heard on the weather forecast that it would snow in Gangwon-do, so I rushed to Daegwallyeong~ I was worried that I would be disappointed since the surrounding Gangwon-do region didn't have any snow, but I was greeted by a truly beautiful landscape! I wanted to see a vast snowy landscape, and there were two options: Daegwallyeong Samyang Ranch and Sky Ranch. Samyang Ranch is the more famous, but you can only enter Samyang Ranch after the snow removal is finished. However, Sky Ranch was open even before the snow removal was finished~ Please call before you visit! FANTASTIC TRAIN RIDE, PYEONGCHANG AND JINBU

#seoul We always love train rides especially in countries where trains are not only regarded as important transportation, but also being very efficient and undeniably very fast ! We had both experienced the ordinary class and business class. Both are good though. Sure thing is, business class has less people onboard with more comfy, spacious seat. So this was our route Seoul - Pyeongchang, Jinbu (Odaesan) - Seoul. Memorable train journey indeed. One of the train highlights is the wireless charger attached to the seat. No more hassle finding your plug yada yada yada. Simply insert the mobile phone and tadaaaaaa, the battery is recharged promptly. #Snowflower Tourist attraction. Pyeongchang Balwangsan Cable Car Location. 715 Olympic-ro, Daegwallyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do Operating hours: 10 AM to 6 PM (Weekends: 9 AM to 7 PM) The number one snowflower travel destination is Gangwon-do, and Pyeongchang is one of the places with the most tourists. In winter, hikers flock to see the snowflowers, and the place I'm going to introduce to you is Balwangsan. You can see the spectacular snowflowers by simply taking the cable car up without hiking. The cable car is quite long and high, so I think I rode it for about 20 minutes, and it was even better because I could play music. (Bluetooth speaker) When you get to the top, there is a walking course, so you can walk for about 30 minutes. There is also a famous spring, so I hope you have a sip! Oh, you should check the cable car in advance. They say the line is so long that you have to wait for more than an hour on weekends. It was fine on a weekday when I visited. Daegwallyeong Sheep Ranch is the only ranch that raises sheep. The sheep grazing field is surrounded by a 1.2 meter-long circular walkway, so visitors can view the sheep at all times during their visit. It takes about 40 minutes to walk along this path. A wooden shack located in the field appeared as a backdrop of the movie "The Man from Mars." There are not many Chinese tourists in Gangwon-do. Most of the tourists are staying in Seoul. I also watched the EXO video to know that there are many places to play. Take an adventure to Gangwon Province. It is the northern part of Korea and the coldest place. I checked the weather before I came. When Seoul was a dozen degrees ago, it was at -4° - 4°, and the temperature difference between morning and evening was great. Going to Gangwon-do can take a high-speed rail or rent a car. In fact, renting a car is quite convenient. After landing from Incheon Airport in Seoul, drive directly to Gangwon-do. About three hours later, I took a break in the service area. What surprised me was that the high-speed service station actually ate so much, and the service station was very clean. Fresh snow for ski season!

Booked a condo at Pyeongchang Resort through trip.com. But because we did not drive, the walk to the condo is difficult in -9⁰C with heavy snow. We were offered to switch to a standard 2 rooms apartment in the main building on the 26th floor. The view from room was fabulous. Heated floor and spacious with 2 bathrooms for 7 pax. Phoenix Park facilities is good. Opens at 9am. Weekends are busy period, strongly recommend to ski on weekdays and if you plan to travel by train from Pyeongchang to Seoul, buy the tickets earlier as day tickets are sold out fast.

The hotel's cozy atmosphere, complete with warm lighting and plush furnishings, was the perfect antidote to the chilly winter weather. The hotel's proximity to the ski slopes was a major plus, allowing me to hit the trails early and make the most of my ski passes. The staff were friendly and accommodating, helping me navigate the resort and making excellent recommendations for dining and activities. Overall, I highly recommend the Dragon Valley Hotel for a magical winter getaway.

Sheep farm

Visiting Korea’s only sheep farm in Pyeongchang was an unforgettable experience! Surrounded by scenic mountains and fresh, crisp air, I got to feed and pet the friendly sheep as they roamed the snowy landscape. The farm was peaceful, with soft hills covered in white, creating a winter wonderland atmosphere. Wandering the paths, I enjoyed breathtaking views and captured amazing photos with the adorable sheep. This trip offered a relaxing escape and a unique chance to interact with nature, making it a highlight of my travels in Korea.

Daegwallyeong Sheep Farm - Swiss vibe

#traveldiaries The Daegwallyeong Sheep Farm, the only sheep farm in South Korea, is located in the mountains of Gangneung at an elevation of over 700 meters. The cool weather and green hills create a Swiss-like atmosphere, making it a famous travel destination and often considered a must-visit spot when traveling to Gangneung. The farm is beautiful in every season, even in winter with snowfall, but I recommend visiting in spring or fall. It's best to avoid July due to the rainy season.
