A Solo Trip to Quanzhou: On a Whim

I took the high-speed train and got off at Quanzhou South Station. I booked a hotel in Shishi City while on the train, which was only 3 kilometers away from the station, a 10-minute taxi ride. I'm so grateful for today's advanced network technology. In the morning, I visited the Wulin Traditional Residential Houses near Quanzhou South Station. It was quite a pleasant experience; you can check out my other post for details. In the afternoon, I went to Luojia Temple and hired a photographer who did an amazing job. The photos turned out great! Luojia Temple is also located by the sea in Shishi, about a half-hour drive from Quanzhou South Station. After visiting the temple, I returned to Quanzhou's city center and stayed at a hotel on West Street for the night, where I strolled around, enjoyed some food, and relished the freedom and ease of traveling solo. I spent my time on West Street eating and exploring. I hired another photographer for a photoshoot, who was also very nice and took some fantastic photos. I visited all the popular spots and took the high-speed train back home in the afternoon. My itinerary was packed, but I didn't have to coordinate with anyone. Taxis are readily available in Quanzhou, making it super convenient to get around. It was such a liberating and fulfilling trip to Quanzhou. I absolutely love this city!
