Family three days and two nights winter tour in Rongcheng, Shandong, the hometown of swans

In winter, you must take your kids to Rongcheng, Shandong Province, and have a winter date with hundreds of swans! [Overall itinerary] Self-driving: Beijing-Zibo-Rongcheng. It takes too long to drive directly from Beijing to Rongcheng (7-8 hours). You can go to Zibo first and rest for one or two days before going to Rongcheng (5 hours' drive). [Accommodation] Hampton Inn by Hilton. I still had my parents and baby with me, so I didn’t choose a B&B. Instead, I chose the Hampton by Hilton in downtown Rongcheng. The hotel is new, has good service, is cost-effective, has large rooms, and is in a great location! For three adults and one child, we chose the Hampton Suite (💰more than 600/night) and the Superior King Room (💰more than 300/night, and the hotel upgraded it to a deluxe room after arrival). 🌟The best thing about the hotel is that it is only two kilometers away from Kowloon City Shopping Plaza and Sakura Lake Swan Park, a 5-minute drive, which is great! Hotel parking is free. 💁🏻‍♀️We went to three major places to watch swans, and I will introduce them one by one below. 1⃣️Yandunjiao (the furthest 30 kilometers from the city) To be honest, I don’t recommend taking children to Yandunjiao. Because it’s on the beach, it’s so windy and cold that you’ll be blown away. Moreover, there is a fence on the shore, so you can’t have close contact with swans. The experience is not good, either. Not in the mood to take photos. Advantages: There are many swans, the seaweed house is very unique, and it is on the same line as the Bruce, so you can go there (but it was really too cold, so my son and I didn’t even go to take pictures of the stranded ship). 2⃣️Chezhugou (must go) I really like the Chezhugou Swan Lake. It is not that cold and I can get up close to the swans. We were very happy to feed them (💰5/3 pack of swan corn kernels). We can also see the real-life ugly ducklings, which is the best place to take pictures. Next to it is the White Goose Cafe, where you can easily have lunch! 3⃣️Cherry Blossom Lake Park in the city (a must go, preferred if you are bringing children) Just behind the Kowloon City Shopping Plaza, you can watch the swans after eating in Kowloon City! Rongcheng People’s Swan Park made me envious again! Chezhugou is a natural scenery, Sakura Lake Park is an urban scenery (closer to the swans than Chezhugou), the wide lake surface, the warm sunshine in winter, admiring the swans and ducks playing on the lake, my mood I felt very comfortable immediately. I felt like staying there all morning was not enough. The baby was dragged away by us in the end. We couldn’t feed the swan enough! 💁🏻‍♀️Special recommendation: Liang Ji Fresh Fish Farm is right next to the hotel. The food is impressive, the taste is great, the price is excellent, and it has local specialties. You can try it!
