Sakaiminato (境港) - GeGeGe no Kitaro 's (鬼太郎）world of fantasy

It all started at Platform 0 at Yonago (米子) JR Station. Platform 0? Did it mean something strange and unexpected? Then on that very platform stood the special yellow train painted with its different manga characters! Look at the seats on the train! GeGeGe no Kitaro (鬼太郎） is always there giving you a warm welcome！ And more.... the stations along the way are each named with a manga character! With the train sliding forward, I was eagerly led into GeGeGe no Kitaro 's world. Right outside Sakaiminato station is the main road leading to the writer's museum (水木茂大道）. The road itself is heavily decorated with bronze statues of the various characters. Hello, Kitaro! Hi there, Mouse Man! While keeping you busy greeting with different characters , the little town has turned itself into a Wizard of Oz! The museum was closed since it was almost 5pm.What a shame! ... But! You never know the silver linen behind! As darkness approached, beware! There were so many shadows appearing and disappearing on the ground! Hey! Don't step on them! They may climb on you or grab your legs! Gosh! Flashes of shadows! Some ghastly figures were lurking around! It is fun that the manga of GeGeGe no Kitaro is brought alive in this little town of Sakaiminato. As I was on the departing train, I could see the Eye, Kitaro's father, on the street lights. He was looking at every one of us. Bid you farewell, Kitaro and your lot!
