🇰🇷🌴Columnar jointing refers to the vertical joints that appear in basaltic lava, most of which are polygonal. Looking closely at the stone pillars, you will find that they are generally four or hexagonal. It is the result of magma erupting from the crater, flowing into the coast of Xiguipu, and rapidly cooling when it meets seawater, causing a contraction effect. The scenic spot is actually a park, not very big. After viewing the main landscape from the plank road, you can walk along the park's trails and observe the texture of the columnar jointing from different angles.
