Just returned from Shantou, which belongs to Citywalk and the authentic food park

After a serendipitous opportunity to enjoy Chaoshan beef hotpot during the May Day outing, I arrived in Shantou! The crowds in the city's small park were bustling, as if everyone had become a witness to time. Shantou, a city at the junction of Fujian and Guangdong, reveals its rich life atmosphere with a slow-warming attitude. Being a stranger in a foreign land, I found a unique sense of belonging in Shantou. Shantou's small park, with the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Pavilion at its core, is surrounded by arcade streets that sketch out scenes filled with 'past' and 'modern' collisions, allowing the city's history to unfold slowly in the modern streetscape. Though the downtown area is small, it gathers a wealth of accommodation, delicious food, and cost-effective experiences. Whether it's the environment or transportation, Shantou's convenience allows every Citywalk traveler to roam freely and easily. In the small park, there is no fixed Citywalk route, but rather it allows everyone to stroll and explore to their heart's content. Even though the area is not large, one can discover its unique charm from day to night. In addition to the quaint streetscape, the small park also sells various foods and tourist souvenirs. After tasting a sip of kumquat juice, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the merchants here treat customers like friends, making one feel very warm. A visit to Shantou only requires one or two days, and it's just a 40-minute car rental drive from Jieyang Airport. The ticket-free small park is waiting for you to experience the unique charm and style of this city.
