Shangyu Marriott Hotel Experience: Does it live up to its reputation? Shangyu Marriott has been in my favorites for a long time, and I took the opportunity to go to Siming Mountain to check in. It is said to be the best Marriott in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, but the actual experience was somewhat disappointing. First of all, I have to recognize the excellent performance of Shangyu Marriott in terms of hardware facilities, it can be seen that the owner is willing to invest, but the software needs to be improved. The view from the room is very good, and the front desk helped to upgrade to a corner executive room. However, the hotel lacks special scenery around it, even if the room has a good view, the scenery is quite ordinary. The hotel's popular swimming pool is quite special, the transparent glass creates a feeling of an infinity pool, it is worth experiencing. The pool is open until 23:00, but it actually starts to clear at 22:30. Next, let's talk about the areas that need improvement: 1. On my birthday, the hotel sent a 4-inch birthday cake, which tasted good, but there was no cutlery, and when I opened a bottle of red wine, I found that there was no red wine glass, which was really inconvenient. 2. The biggest problem is breakfast, I heard that since the restaurant team was replaced, the quality of breakfast has been declining. The variety is not rich enough, and the taste is quite ordinary. The most surprising thing is that I went to eat at 8:30 in the morning for two consecutive days, although there were not many people in the restaurant, but there was no food in some areas (even making people suspect that there was no food in this area at all). Three coffee machines, one is broken, one has no beans, only one machine for American coffee can be used. 3. The overall service level is quite average, whether it is the front desk, guest room, or catering service staff, the feeling is a bit slack, and the gap is quite obvious compared with other Marriott hotels. Overall, this hotel is only suitable for simply experiencing the hotel's decoration style, but it is not recommended for surrounding tours, or if you want to enjoy a relaxing vacation at the hotel. First, it is not in the city, it is quite far from most of the attractions in Shaoxing, and it takes some time to drive to the nearby Yuyao. Second, the software service cannot keep up, and the accommodation experience is generally quite ordinary.
