Shenzhen Le Méridien Hotel stay experience: unsatisfactory aspects During this trip to Shenzhen, I chose to stay at Le Méridien Hotel, but the overall accommodation experience had many problems, which was very disappointing. In terms of check-in procedures, when using the room upgrade voucher, the hotel neither confirmed nor rejected it, nor did it return it. The handling method was very vague. When I arrived at the hotel, there was no concierge at the door. I arrived late at night and searched around for a long time on the first floor before I realized that I needed to take the elevator on the right to go to the front desk on the sixth floor. In contrast, when checking out at 4:30 a.m. at the Hualuxe Hotel next door, the concierge and security guards would come forward to help open and close the car door, and the level of thoughtfulness of the service was immediately apparent. The service attitude of hotel staff also needs to be improved. When the staff in black (informed by the front desk that they were outsourced security guards) saw the guests getting off the car, they not only did not greet them, but quickly stepped aside and pretended not to see them. When checking in, the front desk did not proactively introduce any member benefits, such as lounge floors, lounge opening hours, breakfast opening hours, etc. If the guest does not proactively ask, it will not be mentioned. During breakfast time, when I went to eat at around 9:30, there was no staff at the door to guide me. Based on this stay experience, I feel that the service and facilities of this Le Méridien hotel under Marriott have not reached the expected level. It seems that it is gradually losing its appeal to mid-level members, which also makes me hesitate whether to continue to choose this brand in the future.
