Since I had plenty of time, I explored every nook and cranny of Hesou Village. I discovered many charming corners, with blue skies, white clouds, and old houses, creating a unique atmosphere. - Overview: Hesou Ancient Village is located in Xichong Community, Nan'ao Subdistrict, Dapeng New District, Shenzhen. It lies south of Xichong Beach and north of Qiniang Mountain. The original name of the village had no written record. In Hakka, it was called "Hediu" Village, where "diu" means "nest" or "lair," describing the many birds that inhabit the area. After liberation, it was registered as "Hedou" and later changed to "Hesou." - History: Founded in the late Song and early Yuan dynasties, Hesou Village belonged to Dongguan County from the Song and Yuan dynasties until the first year of the Wanli Emperor's reign in the Ming Dynasty. From the first year of the Wanli Emperor's reign in the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Xin'an County. In 1914, it became part of Bao'an County. In October 1949, it belonged to the Fourth District of Huiyang County. After several administrative adjustments, since December 2011, it has been under the jurisdiction of Xichong Community, Nan'ao Subdistrict, Dapeng New District, Shenzhen.
