On the way to Xichang, we made a stop and stayed at a hotel located in an old mining area

The whole family drove to Xichang for a vacation⛱️ We specifically arranged to stop in Shimian because we wanted to eat Shimian barbecue😋 We chose a very unique hotel online 📍 Shimian Tongqu·108 She Hot Spring Resort Hotel . It is located on the site of one of the eight major mines in China—the old site of the Sichuan Asbestos Mine It is a hotel with memories of an industrial heritage True industrial style, with traces of the old mining area everywhere, like walking into a small museum! The most special features are the spiral staircase and maze in front of the house Rich in artistic atmosphere, full of design, perfect for taking photos📷 . The rooms are in the popular wabi-sabi style, simple and understated, without too much decoration🎍 But very attentive to details, warm and comfortable🤗 The 2-meter tatami bed is spacious for family stays🛌 We booked a private hot spring room♨️ in advance, which was clean and private. Soaking in the hot spring on a cool night was really comfortable and relieved the fatigue of the journey! The hotel also has a dedicated café☕️ and book bar, where you can drink coffee and read books📖, giving a sense of time travel! . Nearby attractions: Sichuan Mining Museum, Menghuo City Scenic Area
