#singaporetrip The Merlion, the iconic statue with the body of a fish and the head of a lion symbolises Singapore’s origins as a fishing village, known as Temasek.The statue’s head represents the city’s original name of Singapura (Lion City in Sanskrit). We went there during the day & at night and both times were incredible!It's a landmark place. Things you should come to if you arrive in Singapore Come here, the view is very good. There are many corners to take photos. Surrounding the area are buildings that look very modern. There are restaurants nearby. There is a convenient bus.
