A brief comparison of 3 waterparks: Legoland, Desaru, Adventure Cove Sentosa

Having been to all 3 within the space of little over a year, here is a brief summary comparison of their relative strengths and weaknesses. Legoland, Pros: 1) Large variety of rides and sliders 2) Has more rides catering for family (4 to 6 persons together) 3) Wave pool turned on fairly frequently 4) Has a section for kids to play boat-building with Lego if they want a break from the water. Cons: 1) Limited rides for those looking for a huge adrenaline rush as the park seems catered more for kids and family. Adventure Desaru Pros: 1) Access to surfboards activities and coaching 2) Well-designed section for young kids with miniature versions of adult rides. 3) Rollercoaster and Pirate Ship land Attractions within the park. 4) Wave Pool is very huge Cons: 1) Wave pool is not turned on very often, about 3 or 4 times a day. Adventure Cove Sentosa Pros: 1) lazy river runs through caves and aquariums, keeping participants very occupied. It also has a section where waves are introduced in to add excitement. 2) Riptide Rocket water coaster is a unique ride with 4 drops. 3) opportunity to swim with fishes 4) wave pool is turned on very frequently, every 10 minutes 5) fair system of rotating float usage whereby those who just finished a ride have to give up the floats for riders in queue Cons: 1) Limited rides for young kids In summary, it can be said that no one size fits all. We enjoyed all 3 as a family.
