Don't Skip on Bishan Cafes!

#singaporetrip Even though there might be not much to do in Bishan area, there will always be food to try. Continuing my cafe-hopping obsession, I disovered 2 peaceful cafes around this area. Cottage by The Straits People Cafe and Kings Cart Coffee are cafes with quiet and relaxing atmosphere. I tried Cottage by TSP on a weekday lunch time with not much people dining. The cafe decor looks so airy and spacious because of the high ceiling. The overall decor was also very homey which also translated to their food. I ordered eggs salmon sourdough and purple sweet potato latte. The sourdough was good while the latte just had a hint of sweet potato and more of a milk taste. The prices are typical cafe price, take note. Kings Cart Coffee is my most recent try. I visited on a saturday and it was a chill experience. The cafe is located in the Bishan Library which explains the quiet environment. I like the interior of the cafe, it's open, and the glass wall allows light to come in. I ordered chicken satay wrap and coconut latte. Both are so so good and not too pricey. They give extra espresso shot if you want more of it which is nice. I loved the coconut flakes at the rim. I really liked the coconut latte. I would definitely come back for it. The nearest MRT station to Cottage by TSP is Marymount of yellow line, and maybe take a bus and walk to it. The nearest MRT station to Kings Cart Coffee is Bishan with a short walk to reach it.
