Nearest MRT - City Hall station and Bras Basah station Highlights - Surrounded by many F&B options Price per night - $180++ Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ With the 50% promotion for SAFRA members at Carlton Hotel, we didn’t hesitate and straight away booked a weekend stay. It was running at full occupancy and we were told early check-in is not possible. Still we wanted to try our luck and arrived an hour and we were lucky! Not only we got our key before the official check-in time, we were given an upgrade to the Premier Room facing Raffles Hotel! ☺️ Well done with this customer delight strategy. The first thing we did is to check out the swimming pool. And we were overjoyed when we had the whole pool to ourselves, at least for that while. Kids at the pool while the missus relaxing at the side with a drink. What a relaxing afternoon we had. It was Earth Hour Day and we “participated” by switching off our room lights and watch a movie in the room with sights outside without the usual brightness. We even have BBT🥤 and popcorn🍿 to simulate a cinema environment. Haha. We explored areas behind the hotel for F&B and there’s indeed plenty of choices from local delights like mala hotpot and bak ku teh to gourmet drinks at interesting cafés. Will share in my trip moments another day. Our last trip to Carlton Hotel was many years ago and this stay is a very good one for rejuvenation.
