Another café has just opened their doors in Bugis! Located just a short walk away from Haji Lane, 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 is a muslim-owned café serving various kinds of canelé and dishes in skillets. 🍳 Just from how it looked outside, we already know that this café has promising aesthetics. The best spot would be the one by the large window beside the entrance, as the sunlight pours in during the day. ☀️ The interiors features a darker Scandinavian style with concrete textured walls. We aren’t fans of the strikingly-orange lighting though, which made the entire ambient too warm. We got the 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗲, which we felt wasn’t worth the amount we paid for unfortunately. 😔 The crêpe is too soft and just filled with cream. It might be better if the caramelised peach is incorporated with the cream. The 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗲 is too cakey and we can’t really catch the matcha flavour. 😕 The 𝗜𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲 is too milky and the biscoff sweetness is mild.
