Cultural conservation in Chinatown

Here you will find some of Singapore’s oldest Chinese and Indian temples, built when our forefathers were immigrants to this foreign land. You will also find many huge wall art murals in the various alleyways, depicting the key activities that went on in those places back in the day. These murals were specially commissioned by the government to preserve Singapore’s precious heritage. This is definitely a place worth visiting to get in touch with your roots as a local or to discover more about Singapore’s history as a tourist!
