Humble Administrator's Garden – Lost in the Forest

#traveldiaries "Lost in the forest" might be a bit of an exaggeration, but visiting the largest ancient garden in Suzhou truly left me impressed by its vastness. The garden spans about 5 hectares, and fully exploring it will take around two hours. However, every moment is worth it. As one of the oldest gardens in China, originally built during the Song Dynasty, you can feel the essence of ancient China in every corner. One unique feature of this garden is the direct view of the nearby North Pagoda, creating a stunning scene when observed from the center of the garden. Given its fame, the garden tends to be crowded, so it’s best to avoid visiting during the summer season. Tickets sell out quickly, so be sure to book in advance.
