Don't Miss Tiger Hill When Visiting Suzhou

Tiger Hill Pagoda: Also known as Yunyan Temple Pagoda, it is the most iconic building of Tiger Hill and one of the oldest existing brick pagodas in China. The ancient pagoda is tilted but not collapsed, which is unique. 3. Sword Pond: It is said that the tomb of King Helu of Wu is located under this pond. After Helu's death, Fuchai buried 3,000 famous swords along with jewelry and jade at the bottom of the pond to prevent tomb robbery, and accumulated water to form a pond. The pond water never dries up and is unfathomably deep, making it full of mystery. 4. Two Immortals Pavilion: It is said that the immortals Lü Dongbin and Chen Tuan once played chess here. On the stone wall on the west side of the Two Immortals Pavilion, the words "Sword Pond Tiger Hill" are engraved, with vigorous strokes and a strong and thick style, said to be written by Yan Zhenqing. There is also a saying that "the fake Tiger Hill, the real Sword Pond," which refers to only the "Sword Pond" as an ancient inscription. 5. Thousand People Stone: In front of the Sword Pond, there is a huge stone platform, where it is said that a high monk once preached, with a thousand people sitting below to listen, hence the name Thousand People Stone. 6. Wan Jing Villa: Known for its bonsai art, the various bonsai shapes are unique and ingenious, making it a great place to appreciate garden art. 7. Mahavira Hall: The only existing Buddhist hall in Yunyan Zen Temple. 8.
